In Loving Memory

Beloved wife, mother, dancer, teacher, mentor and friend: Bonnie Jeanne Lavric began her study of dance with Louise B. Harrison in Pennsylvania and continued as a dance major at The Ohio State University. She danced at DDC&G for 16 years and taught for six. Her students loved her energy and ready smile. Bonnie touched many lives at DDC&G and everywhere she went. She is an inspiration, and it is a privilege for us to celebrate her spirit.

The Bonnie Lavric Memorial Scholarship is awarded to a high school senior who is currently enrolled at dublinDANCE centre & GYMNASTICS. The recipient exemplifies a commitment to dance, community service and extra-curricular activities during high school, beginning with the summer before high school. All dancers and gymnasts attending dublinDANCE centre & GYMNASTICS who are completing their senior year of high school are eligible for the one-year non-renewable scholarship.

The scholarship is given to a senior dance or gymnastics student, and awarded each year at the June performance. The award is intended to help defray college expenses, regardless of the student’s course of study.

The scholarship committee is independent of Dublin Dance Centre & Gymnastics. DDC&G staff, owners, or family members of staff/owners have no say on who the scholarship is awarded to.

2016-2017 recipient: Emily Fan
